Come next month Nashville will be home to two outposts of Pat Martin’s Hugh-Baby’s, as the local pitmaster will open a second location of his fast food burger and barbecue joint on West End Ave. in late April.
Taking over the former Which Wich spot at 3001 West End Ave., the 2,500-square-foot restaurant will offer the same menu as the Charlotte Ave. outlet, which opened last August. So expect a variety of burgers, including the slugburger, a style of burger that Martin grew up eating in Corinth, Miss. and was made popular during the Depression, barbecue sandwiches, hot dogs, fries, and shakes.
Martin, who opened his first Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint in Nolensville back in the mid-2000s, has been in expansion mode lately. with four locations in Middle Tennessee, and fourth prepping to open on March 27 in Spring Hill.
