Yazoo Brewing Company, Nashville’s largest craft brewer, has landed its new home, as a move to Madison is in its future.

The 15-year-old brewery closed on the purchase of a six acre parcel at 900 River Bluff Drive in December, snagging an undeveloped swath of land just off of Myatt Dr. that overlooks the Cumberland River. Founder and brewmaster Linus Hall says that along with the expanded production facility, the Yazoo campus will also include a taproom, as well as a dedicated outdoor event space.

But the timeline for the move is dependent on the sale of Yazoo’s current home at 910 Division St. The Gulch property, which the brewery moved into in 2010, went on the market last summer with an asking price of $9.75 million. It’s currently under contract to an as yet undisclosed buyer.

Just northeast of downtown, the neighborhood of Madison has for the most part been skipped by the now years-long hospitality boom in and around the city. But the Yazoo news, coupled with the high profile revamp of the Madison Bowling property, shows that that’s certainly starting to change.
