Catch a Preview of Upcoming Germantown Sushi Spot O-Ku This Week

It’s taking over the small plates menu at Caviar & Bananas this Thursday and Friday

MIDTOWN - Charleston-based Indigo Road Hospitality Group’s O-Ku sushi restaurant is still on track for a fall opening in Germantown. But those wanting to get an early taste will have an opportunity this Thursday and Friday, March 8 and 9, as O-Ku managing partner Kimball Brienza and his team will take over fellow Charleston transplant Caviar & Bananas‘ small plates menu. Available 5 to 9 p.m. both nights, the menu will be a la carte, offering a variety of the restaurant’s specialty items, as well as sake pairings from local outfit Proper Sake Co. [EaterWire]

MIDTOWN - Brunch will officially be on the table at Gerard Craft’s Pastaria starting this upcoming Saturday. Announced over the weekend on social media, service will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. And while a menu has not yet been posted, it’s a good bet that it will stay true to the St. Louis location’s offerings, which include a breakfast pizza, wood oven-baked eggs, a buckwheat waffle, braised beef hash, and more. MIDDLE TENNESSEE - The Nashville chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier will hold its second annual fundraiser,Tour de Farm 2018, on Sunday, April 15. The fundraiser includes a day-long VIP farm tour throughout Williamson County, as well as a multi-course dinner featuring dishes from Margot McCormack (Margot Café), Hal Holden-Bache (Lockeland Table) Rebekah Turshen (City House), and Lisa Marie White (Thompson Hotel). Tickets for the event are $195 for the tour and dinner, or $95 for the dinner, and are available for purchase online. [EaterWire]

SOBRO - Downtown now has a new midday dining option, as Oak Steakhouse launched lunch service today. Running 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, menu highlights include a short rib panini, Oak’s signature burger, a mustard-bourbon glazed bistro steak, blackened fish tacos, and more.
