SPRING HILL - After several last minute delays, the newest Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint outpost is now slated to open tomorrow, Tuesday, April 3. The 4,500-square-foot, 180-seat restaurant, pitmaster Pat Martin’s sixth, will be located at 2076 Wall St., joining a recently opened third location of Jason McConnell’s 55 South, as well as a new concept from McConnell called Salty Goat Taqueria. Expect plenty of whole hog barbecue, brisket burgers, thick-sliced bologna sandwiches, and much more. [EaterWire]

NORTH NASHVILLE - Fast-casual vegan restaurant The Southern V will soon be back open and serving its plant-based takes on southern favorites, as husband and wife team Clifton and Tiffany Hancock have announced an April 20 grand opening for the restaurant’s new location. Previously operating on weekends out of a small space on Fisk St., The Southern V’s new home at 1200 Buchanan St. will allow it to expand both its menu and its business hours. Keep an eye on the restaurant’s social media for updates and soft opening preview dates. [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN - A new dinner-with-a-show option located just off Lower Broadway will open its doors later this month, as 9,500-square-foot magic-themed restaurant and bar House of Cards will welcome its first guests on April 9. Housed in the lower level of the commercial complex at 119 3rd Ave. S., the newest venture from Bill Miller, owner of Skull’s Rainbow Room and Nudie’s Honky-Tonk, offers a reservation-only speakeasy-style bar and restaurant that includes a half-hour magic show.
