Nashville’s Christie Cookie Is Opening Up Shop in 12 South

It will take over the former Sprinkles Cupcakes location

The 12 South neighborhood is trading cupcakes for cookies, as Nashville-based Christie Cookie Co. has announced that it will be opening up a new shop in the former Sprinkles Cupcakes space.

Set for 2606 12th Ave. S. in the Becker’s Corner development, the 35-year-old company, which specializes in a variety of cookies and other desserts, appears to not have wasted any time staking a claim on the location, with Sprinkles having permanently closed its only Tennessee location just two weeks ago.

It’s still not entirely clear why the nationally popular cupcake chain wasn’t able to cut it in the foot traffic-heavy 12 South area. But Christie Cookie, with its loyal following and deep Nashville ties, is certainly betting that cookies can succeed where cupcakes failed.

There’s currently no timeline for the changeover, so be sure to check back for more details.
