A rare closing in the 12 South neighborhood is on the horizon, as dessert shop Sprinkles Cupcakes will permanently shut its doors this upcoming Sunday, April 8.
An eagle-eyed tipster let Eater Nashville know that the bakery, located at 2606 12th Ave. S. in the Becker’s Corner development, had popped up as a new listing on commercial real estate site LoopNet earlier this week. A call to Sprinkles confirmed the news, with an employee telling Eater that they plan to be open regular hours through the close of business on Sunday. An exact reason for the shutter is not clear.
The Los Angeles-based sweets shop opened its first and only Nashville (and Tennessee) location right before Christmas in 2015, bringing along with it a wide variety of cupcakes, ice cream, cookies, and its famous cupcake ATM.
