The Flamingo Cocktail Club Spreads Its Wings Tomorrow Night in Wedgewood-Houston

It joins Falcon Coffee Bar, which opened just last month

Eater Nashville

One of the year’s most anticipated new watering holes is just a day away from opening, as the Flamingo Cocktail Club will open to the public tomorrow at 7 p.m. in Wedgewood-Houston.

It’s the second project from cocktail bar scene staple Alexis Soler and her business partner Angela Laino, the duo who just last month opened Falcon Coffee Bar, currently the neighborhood’s only coffee shop (which will change later this year with two more in the works). Also joining them as a partner is Freddy Schwenk, another well-known name in Nashville’s bar game and a busy man as of late, having been involved in other recent high profile openings such as Analog and Geist.

The Miami-inspired cocktail lounge shares both an address and a building with Falcon, being housed in the high-ceilinged, pink-hued, rear portion of the former church. Details, as was the case with Falcon’s opening, are being kept mostly under wraps, but expect a straightforward cocktail program set for high volume, a plant-based menu following Falcon’s lead, and an open, multi-use space reflecting Soler’s and Laino’s mission of keeping community in mind.

All will be revealed when doors open tomorrow night, so be sure to send along any first impressions to the tipline.
