On Saturday, May 5 — yes, Cinco de Mayo — Mojo’s Tacos will open in the former Saffire space in The Factory at Franklin. Mojo’s Tacos (named after the pet bull of one of the lead investors, Bill Butler), is the newest project from a group that has helped open and operate other food and beverage outlets such as Burger Up Cool Springs, Five Daughters Bakery, Franklin Juice and Honest Coffee Roasters. The latter three already have brick and mortar locations at The Factory.
Mojo’s Tacos offers tacos (regular and puffy) with fillings like hot chicken, Korean cauliflower, Baja fish, brisket, fried avocado, and more. The restaurant also offers paletas, nachos, a kids’ menu, and a full bar.
To celebrate the grand opening on Saturday, May 5, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., the truck and the restaurant will serve tacos at 230 Franklin Rd. There will also be fresh paletas for children (blueberry, mango and strawberry buttermilk) and adults (sangria, margarita, and mint julep). The Kentucky Derby will be shown on the televisions.
