Pearl Diver Reveals Tropical Vibes in East Nashville

Opening in June?

Pearl Diver

One of the most anticipated openings of spring 2018 is looking more like a functional restaurant. The team behind “relaxed island lounge” Pearl Diver took to Instagram and Facebook to show off some details in the 1008 Gallatin Ave. space. Touches like the very on-trend botanical wallpaper and selfie-ready, Millennial pink bathroom decor convert the former mid-century garage to an Instagram-worthy hangout.

Pearl Diver comes from heavy-hitting industry insiders: Treehouse owners Corey Ladd and Matt Spicher, No. 308 owner Ben Clemons, and longtime 308 barman Jamie White.

The finished restaurant will feature indoor and outdoor seating, along with a kitchen menu focusing on tropical flavors from Treehouse executive chef Jason Zygmont. While the menu hasn’t been released, the social media accounts hint at Cuban sandwiches, coconut shrimp, and tropical granola brunch bowls. The caption on one photo from May 20 states, “See y’all next month!” which sounds like an opening date will be out soon.

Brunch item: Greek Yogurt | Toasted Coconut Curry Granola | Fresh Fruit | Honey | Mint
