Will The Old Local Taco Space in Sylvan Park Become Another Taco Joint?

Several industry sources and tipsters are telling Eater that the shuttered Local Taco in Sylvan Park will soon be replaced by yet another taco concept.

Sources say that Pancho and Lefty’s, (from the team behind local barbecue joint Edley’s) will take over the space.

Pancho & Lefty’s downtown location offers the typical taco options, quesadillas, burritos, and heaps of nachos. They also have some more unusual offerings like hot chicken tacos and catfish. Pancho & Lefty’s original location opened just over a year ago across from Bridgestone Arena.

Eater reached out to a representative from Pancho & Lefty’s, who responded that the company did not have anything to comment on at this time.

According to former frequent diners, the former Local Taco’s business had taken a downward turn after several years of success in the neighborhood. A sign went up a couple months back that the Sylvan Park Local Taco had closed for renovations, and they never reopened.
