The Nashville restaurant closures continue, as Jackson’s Bar and Bistro in Hillsboro Village has closed. An employee posted the news to social media last night, and an interesting note on the door confirms the abrupt shutter of the formerly popular dog-friendly spot with the large patio in Hillsboro Village, after a respectable 19-year run.
The note states “ we had a rough start and a rocky ending, but a ton of fun and success in between—much like like itself perhaps.”
Jackson’s was in its heyday a bustling corner bistro. The neighborhood restaurant served American southern-accented cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus brunch on weekends. The restaurant even expanded to open a location in Birmingham, Alabama a few years back—and that one appears to remain open.
The note does end with”farewell though maybe not forever,” so maybe someday they’ll reopen in an area with less of a parking nightmare situation.
