Heaps of nachos and hot chicken tacos starting in 2019

It’s now official, the old Local Taco in Sylvan Park will as expected become a Pancho & Lefty’s. Nashville Business Journal spoke to co-owner Will Newman, who finally confirmed the news today. Newman referenced an anticipated opening of late January, and says the new location at 4501 Murphy Road will sport more of a neighborhood feel with a focus on creating a family-friendly patio.

Pancho & Lefty’s menu offers the typical taco options, quesadillas, burritos, and heaps of nachos. They also have some more unusual offerings like hot chicken tacos and catfish. Pancho & Lefty’s original location opened just over a year ago across from Bridgestone Arena.

According to former frequent diners, the former Local Taco’s business went into a downward spiral after several years of success in the neighborhood. A sign went up earlier in the year that the Sylvan Park Local Taco had closed for renovations, and they never reopened.
