A Nolensville Pike Coffee Shop Opens Today—With Breakfast Tacos

It’s owned by a percussionist hailing from Texas

Tempo Nashville

If there’s one thing Texans know well it’s breakfast tacos—and Tempo Nashville’s owner Javier Solis wants to bring that morning tradition to Tennessee. Located at 2179 Nolensville Pike, Tempo opens today with a selection of breakfast tacos, scrambles, and pan dulce for the taking.

The food menu is a simple one—choose from a Texas scramble, four different breakfast tacos, bean and cheese taco, or tortillas with butter. There are also combos available that come with drip coffee. Sweet bites include pan dulce (Mexican sweet bread), atole de arroz (sweet rice with cinnamon), and galletas (cookies).

Texas sweet tea, Greenway coffee (from Houston), and horchata are among the drink options. See the full menu here.

Tempo is owned and operated by Javier Solis and his family, Yvonne Damaris Solis and Uriah & Zylah Solis. Hailing from San Antonio, Texas, Javier is a professional musician, moved to Nashville in the late 90’s. He’s a percussionist—thus the name, Tempo.

Tempo is in a soft opening phase, so check their Instagram page to confirm hours, which are tentatively today through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Hours posted on the door are Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.
