Since opening in The Nations in 2016, Nicky’s Coal Fired has only been open for dinner — but that changes October 7 when Chef Tony Galzin starts serving Sunday brunch.
Every Sunday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., beginning on October 7, Galzin will serve a selection of hearty breakfast sandwiches and pizzas, plus sweet, pillowy bombolini.
Breakfast sandwiches include combinations like a vegetable and whipped goat cheese, one with pear, fontina, and prosciutto, plus a classic with ham, egg, and cheese. In addition to the coal-fired sandwiches, guests can also expect house-made breakfast pizzas. The menu also features seasonal frittatas, Galzin’s house-cured charcuterie, and salads.
Sweet treats include a selection of house-made stuffed bomboloni (Italian doughnuts) with fillings like Nutella and cinnamon sugar, lemon mascarpone, and peach jam. A large variety of Barista Parlor coffee and espresso drinks along with a selection of classic brunch cocktails including bellinis, mimosas, and a signature rose cocktail comprise the drink menu.
