West Nashville’s New Coffee Shop Also Serves Wine on Tap

The Nashville caffeination domination continues

Stephanie Reiman

Nashville will continue to expand options for caffeine city-wide, as popular coffee shop 8th & Roast opens a new location Thursday, September 6 in West Nashville’s Sylvan Station.

The new coffee shop at 4104 Charlotte Avenue offers nearly 3,000-square-feet of space, where they’ll host in-house roasting operations, the full-service coffeehouse, and no doubt a swarm of remote workers.

They’ll be brewing—of course— coffee options aplenty, but also serving red, white, and sparkling wines on tap. Like at the other location, look for breakfast sandwiches and yogurt parfaits in the morning, and homemade soup plus salads and sandwiches during noon hours. Plus there’ll be baked goods from scones to muffins all the live-long day.

Once open, the second 8th & Roast hours are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday – Sunday from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.

8th & Roast is owned and operated by Ed and Sam Reed, and Q-Juan Taylor and opened their first location in Melrose back in 2009. They roast over 70,000 pounds of coffee per year. A satellite location recently opened inside Nashville International Airport’s Terminal C, operated by global restaurateur HMSHost.
