East Nashville’s one-of-a-kind essential restaurant The Treehouse helmed by standout chef Jason Zygmont recently launched a new oyster happy hour, available on Mondays through Thursdays from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Oysters for $1.50 a piece, grilled squid tacos, and kung pao chicken wings are available, plus drink specials, in addition to the full menu, which if not yet aware — now includes a rare showing of quality soup dumplings in Nashville.
Zygmont has made the menu at the playful space his own, taking notice of what’s missing from Nashville menus — oyster happy hours, those aforementioned pork soup dumplings, steamed duck buns, and late night ramen among some prime examples.
Prior to taking the reins at The Treehouse in 2016, Zygmont most recently led the kitchen at Five & Ten in Athens, Georgia. Before than, Zygmont spent time in a number of well-known kitchens, including Atlanta’s now-shuttered Woodfire Grill and Acheson’s Empire State South, along with a six-month stint at Noma in Copenhagen and ten months at Per Se in New York City.
