Award-winning, radical New Orleans-based sandwich joint, Turkey and the Wolf, makes an exciting cameo in Nashville tonight — joining forces with East Nashville’s new taco, queso, and tortilla destination Redheaded Stranger.
The dinner is a kick-off to the restaurant’s new expanded hours, which are rolling out this weekend. Dinner service on Fridays and Saturdays begins October 18 — when visitors can dip flour tortillas in queso on repeat from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. The remainder of the week, they’ll still be open from 8 in the morning until 3 p.m.
Tonight (Thursday, October 17) at 6 p.m. — until they run out — Turkey and the Wolf’s Mason Hereford and Nashville’s Bryan Lee Weaver and the team are slinging tacos filled habanero-citrus pork shoulder, “trashy” tostadas, and more undoubtedly tasty surprises.
Highly anticipated Wille Nelson and Tex-Mex tribute Redheaded Stranger opened to much acclaim in July. Weaver’s daily menu is inspired by traditional Southwest dishes and ingredients like breakfast tacos, Hatch green chilies, brisket, and spot-on homemade tortillas.
There are no tickets or reservations for this noteworthy night — so get there early to secure a taste.
