East Nashville’s new Riverside Village darling, lou, is gathering several local and nationwide bakers and friends on Sunday, October 20, for an autumnal bake sale benefitting Thistle Farms.

Hosted on lou’s back patio from noon to 3 p.m., the bake sale will offer an array of $5 pastries, all going to benefit Thistle Farms. The local nonprofit is dedicated to helping female survivors recover and heal from trafficking, prostitution, and addiction. They offer help in the forms of safe housing, jobs, and a support system for the girls.

Several chefs, bakers, and other industry friends from near and far are joining in with lou’s Mailea Weger to provide products to sell. Lou’s pastry chef Sasha Piligian, Zöe Kanan the Head Baker of Studio, George Washington Bar, and Simon & The Whale at The Freehand Hotel NYC, City House Pastry Chef Rebekah Turshen, Chef Julia Jaksic of Café Roze, Folk + Rolf and Daughter’s Chef/Owner Philip Krajeck are just a a few of the names providing sweet goodies for a good cause.
