Essential Portland sandwich spot Lardo is known for elevating what happens between slices of bread — and they’re taking those snazzy sandwiches on the road to Nashville this weekend.
On Saturday, October 26, from noon to 8 p.m. and Sunday, October 27, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Lardo will serve a selection of sandwiches and sides on the lawn at Hattie B’s Melrose location (2222 8th Avenue S). Keep in mind they could sell out early.
Sandwiches on offer include a Korean pork shoulder, griddled mortadella, porchetta, and a “Bronx bomber” loaded with shaved steak, aged provolone, salami, pickled peppers, and Duke’s mayo. Prices range from $11 to $14 for sandwiches, and sides like loaded fries, crispy pig ears, chicharrones, and house kimchi span from $4 to $10.
Portland-based Lardo is a destination sandwich shop known for loading up its sandwiches with all things bovine and swine. Chef/owner Rick Gencarelli and Lardo hosted Hattie’s B’s just last month for a pop-up, after the team there hit it off with the Hattie B’s crew when the two restaurants opened in Vegas at the Cosmopolitan’s new Block 16 Urban Food Hall.
