Gracie’s Milkshake Bar will bring over-the-top shakes and French fries to Charlotte Avenue this month, according to anonymous tipsters and the business’ Facebook page. The dessert destination from owner Gracie Tucker will open in the longtime owner Tamay Ozari’s L & L Marketplace near Sylvan Heights at 3814 Charlotte Avenue this October. Tucker says the shop will serve a selection of specialty milkshakes, floats, and fries.
Franklin-based Honest Coffee will open in late November, serving its third wave coffee with the popular açai bowls from Franklin Juice. Brett Henry opened the first Honest Coffee Roasters location in The Factory at Franklin in 2014, then expanded to Huntsville, Alabama in 2017.
Other restaurants and food tenants opening soon in the West side marketplace housed in the historic Se-Ling Hosiery Building: fast-casual Italian food from Penne Pazze, a fixed location from Thai truck Thai Ni Yum, Tree House Macarons, Five Daughters Bakery, and Bold Patriot Brewery.
Stay tuned for more details and opening dates for the food hall tenants at L & L Marketplace, which is about 2 years overdue in opening, according to first announcements way back in January of 2016. The marketplace includes fast casual restaurants, an anchor brewery, shops, and office space.
