‘Tis the season for Christmas-themed pop-up bars — and Bode Nashville will host tinsel-strewn Sippin’ Santa this holiday season. Starting November 25 and continuing through the end of the year, the holiday pop-up (and companion pop-up to Miracle) serves wintry cocktails in a space decked out in over-the-top, highly Instagram-friendly, kitschy holiday décor.

This year’s Christmas sipping concoctions from celebrity mixologist Joann Spiegel include:

  • Kris Kringle Colada: Jamaican rum, Amaro, allspice liqueur, lime juice, pineapple juice, cream of coconut
  • Shaka Kalikimaka (served frozen): London Dry gin, allspice dram, orange and cognac liqueur, lime juice, falernum, cranberry syrup, herbsaint
  • Jingle Bowl: Jamaican and Demerara rums, Applejack, Amaro, lemon juice, orange juice, pineapple juice, maple and cinnamon syrups, Angostura bitters
  • Christmas Eve of Destruction: Over proof dark rum, lime juice, nutmeg syrup, Benedictine, Angostura bitters

New this year, Sippin’ Santa will host an “Ugly Sweater Party” in tandem with its other 139 locations on December 2 from 8-11 p.m., with the goal of setting a record for the world’s largest combined ugly sweater gathering.

Miracle was born in 2014 when upon the urging of his mother, owner Greg Boehm decided to halt construction of what was to be his new East Village cocktail bar, Mace, and transformed the unfinished space into a pop-up bar serving holiday-themed drinks among over-the-top Christmas decorations. As crowds swarmed the NYC location, Boehm’s friends throughout the bar industry asked how they could recreate the holiday magic on their own turf and expansion became inevitable. The following year, Miracle expanded to 4 locations and in 2016, it went worldwide with pop-ups in Greece, Montreal and Paris. Currently, Boehm and manager Joann Spiegel are pleased to expand the concept to all corners of the US, plus pop-ups in Canada, Europe, Asia, and Central America.

Sippin’ Santa begins November 25th and runs through the month of December.
