Details are still quiet at this time — but Sean Brock is definitely taking over the shuttered East Nashville Stay Golden space — and opening a place the celebrity chef has dubbed Joyland. Brock plans to open Joyland ahead of Audrey, where construction is underway at 809 Meridian Street, also on the East side of town.

Located at 901 Woodland Street, the stunningly adorned second Nashville outpost of the coffee shop and cafe closed in early November after being open less than a year.

Brock’s other restaurant Audrey, is set to open next year — where downstairs, the compound will house an approachable downstairs dining room with a daily changing menu. Upstairs, Brock will offer a modern tasting menu, driven by the R & D kitchen.

A podcast on Appalachia called Before It’s Too Late (produced in an on-site recording studio), an heirloom seed bank, Appalachian art, and a mindfulness center focused on mental health for his team are all added elements of the complex

Brock isn’t ready to reveal much about Joyland just yet, but he does say “It’s gonna be fun as hell”.

So, stay tuned.
