Chicago-Style Pizza and Comedy Collide in Nashville This Week

Gino’s East & The Comedy Bar has a walk-up to-go pizza slice window

Chicago-pizza and comedy collide in SoBro with a launch party at Gino’s East & The Comedy Bar on Thursday, March 14. The combination pizzeria and stand-up comedy venue, located at 311 3rd Avenue South, serves Gino’s signature golden-crust Chicago-style pizzas alongside starters, salads, and sandwiches.

Gino’s is introducing something they’re calling “#DeepAF” pizza — cramming more dough, extra cheese, and double toppings into a deep dish pie. There’s also a dual inside-and-outside bar and a walk-up to-go pizza slice window opening at 4 p.m. daily. A large outdoor patio offers jumbo yard games like Jenga, horseshoes, and cornhole.

Live comedy shows will happen Thursdays at 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday at 10:30 p.m. Following the first opening month, the Nashville location will feature delivery and carryout as well as additional comedy show times.

The new restaurant is co-owned and operated by Bravo Restaurants, Inc. in conjunction with The Comedy Bar as they expand their partnership beyond their Chicago River North location to the Nashville market. Bravo Restaurants currently has locations across Chicagoland area, Wisconsin, Texas, Michigan, Georgia, and Mexico City.
