New York-based pizza and burger destination Emmy Squared is opening a second Music City location in Green Hills — look for creatively topped crisp Detroit-style pies and that Instagram-friendly double-stack burger sometime this June.
The pizza joint from Matt and Emily Hyland is taking over the current Table 3 Restaurant space, located at 3821 Green Hills Village Drive, after the French restaurant’s final service on Saturday, April 27. Table 3’s adjacent Wine Market will remain open, according to a post the restaurant made on Instagram over the weekend.
“We love our Gulch location and will continue to service our clients in that neighborhood, but we are also extremely excited to branch out into Green Hills, a spot with more parking and accessibility for our local clientele. At the end of the day, we want to be a part of the fabric of the Green Hills neighborhood and we are really excited to be there,” says restauranteur and partner Howard Greenstone.
For chef/owner Matt Hyland this new location is personal, as his aunt and uncle have lived in Green Hills since the early 1970’s. “This is the part of Nashville that I grew up visiting and it’s the area that I know the best, so I’m very excited to be opening an Emmy Squared there. It’s like coming full circle for me,” says Hyland.
Nashville’s first Emmy Squared opened in March of last year, quickly jumping onto most every best pizza and burger list in the city — and also being named Restaurant Import of the Year in the 2018 Eater Awards.
