The final service at the 12 South location of Nashville essential Thai Esane is May 23, according to a press release. They’re branding the new digs Ten for Thai Esane, with an opening anticipated sometime in June, on the ground floor of the Element Music Row building at 1520 Demonbreun.
The “elevated” new space from owner and chef Nina Singto will offer an expanded bar menu plus patio seating for 40. The focal point of the Thai restaurant’s new 3,500-square-foot space is a six-foot tall golden Buddha, shipped straight to Music City from Thailand.
Singto says the new home will offer a whole new game for Thai food in Nashville. Thai Esane’s menu envelops Southeastern Asian cuisine, featuring dishes from Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam. Singto’s steamed dumploings, Malaysian-style noodles, and papaya salad are some crowd favorites.
The original Thai Esane location first opened in June 2014, following the family’s success with King Market in Antioch.
For old school Thai Esane loyalists — there’s still time to get into the 12 South location a few more times for papaya salad and farewells. The last day there is May 23. The exact June opening date is forthcoming.
Ten for Thai Esane will open for lunch and dinner, Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m . to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.
