Chick-fil-A Melrose Music City opens on Wednesday, May 22 on 8th Avenue South, according to an event page on Facebook. The opening was pushed back from the original intended opening last week, due to construction delays.
Operated by Susan Riley, the new location of the popular-yet-controversial poultry-focused fast food chain takes on the address that formerly housed Krystal, at 2619 8th Avenue South, in Melrose.
Those in the South are largely familiar with the globally controversial brand, known for all things chicken, waffle fries, and fresh-squeezed lemonade.
The Atlanta-based evangelist of the gospel of the chicken sandwich rewards dedicated chicken chain groupies with a year’s worth of free chicken. Thus, the line is already forming at the nearly open 8th Avenue South location. A standard Chick-fil-A practice — the first 100 in line snag a digital card, pre-loaded with 52 Chick-fil-A meals including chicken sandwich, waffle fries, and drink.
