James and Louisa Green, the husband-and-wife duo who owns Headquarters coffee shop, announced today their plans to open Otto’s, an “upscale dive bar” in the same West Nashville neighborhood this fall.

Setting up shop in a former auto repair garage at 4210 Charlotte Avenue, Otto’s will serve Austin-style tacos alongside coffee, CBD and kombucha cocktails, and mocktails mixed with matcha, teas, and craft tinctures.

Otto’s will have a coffee program similar to Headquarters’, spotlighting coffee from Osa with optional house-made syrups, plus High Garden teas.

Tex-Mex-inspired bar food is on tap alongside a menu of sandwiches, salads, charcuterie boards, and vegan-friendly options in partnership with local, plant-focused company, The Be-Hive. Family-style nachos, spicy egg dishes, turmeric-spiked Bloody Marys and mimosas with fresh, cold-pressed juice will round out the weekend brunch menu designed with families in mind. Daily lunch service will follow.

The Greens plan to reinvigorate the industrial space themselves, as they did with Headquarters, adding on outdoor seating and custom woodwork to soften the edges of the former auto repair shop. James, a Nashville native and accomplished carpenter, plans to design the tables, chairs and concrete bar himself; Louisa will source local antiques and finishes to contribute to the lived-in, eclectic vibe they favor, while nodding to Charlotte Avenue’s gritty past.
