A Fast Casual Tex-Mex Restaurant Is Taking Coconut Shrimp Tacos to Melrose

Fast casual Tex-Mex with flair restaurant Tacos With A Twist is set to open mid-August, in Nashville’s Melrose neighborhood.

On the menu posted on the restaurant’s website, there’s an option for taco diehards to build their own tacos, or choose from one of their pre-destined creations, like Nashville hot, smoked fish, or a teriyaki chicken and rice taco. Three salads are on the menu — a Mexican Caesar, Southwestern with avocado ranch, and the option to turn any taco into a salad. A kids menu offers tacos and quesadillas for the littles. Brunch tacos with eggs, chorizo, and bacon will be available on the weekend. They’ll also feature a full bar with happy hour five days a week, once open.

Owned by Will Coffee, who told Eater this is his first restaurant, but that he has years of experience in the club and lounge industry.

Plans are to open quietly August 13, with an official grand opening on August 26. The space at 810 Gale Lane (suite 104) in Melrose seats 74 inside, plus 32 on the outdoor patio.

Starting in late August, Tacos With a Twist will be open Monday thru Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
