New Classic French Bistro Brings Escargot to East Nashville

Gallatin Avenue gets a chic 1920s-inspired French bistro soon in Once Upon a Time in France — set to open this fall. According to the Nashville Scene, the bistro from father and son Laurent Champonnois and Melvil Arnt is a 45-seat restaurant sliding into the former Steak & Pizza location at 1102 Gallatin Avenue. Per the scene, Arnt is a Parisian with a restaurant background who relocated to Music City and missed the food from back home. He and his father, a chef, combined forces to open this classic French bistro with a classic menu of escargot, steak tartare, and boeuf bourguignon.

Campione’s Taste of Chicago Brings Italian Beef Sandwiches to Goodlettsville

Campione’s Taste of Chicago is opening a second location in Goodlettsville this fall — just a stone’s throw from Davidson County. Serving a menu of Italian beef sandwiches, Mama’s flatbread style Chicago pizzas, and marinara-topped pastas, Campione’s Taste of Chicago has been open for 11 years in Gallatin. The owners wanted to bring a location closer to the city. The new Goodlettsville location anticipates an early October opening at 401 Long Hollow Pike, Suite 104. Once open, Campione’s hours will be Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Popular Beer and Burger Bar Heads for Edgehill

Jack Brown’s, one of Nashville’s go-tos for burgers and brews, is heading for Edgehill Village, according to the Nashville Scene. The Virginia-based restaurant signed a lease for the former home of the Edgehill Cafe, which closed earlier this year at 1201 Villa Place, Unit 102. Other Nashville locations of the small chain are in Germantown and Murfreesboro.

Sylvan Supply Snags a Healthy Restaurant From a Cookbook Author and Chef

According to the Nashville Business Journal, a restaurant from cookbook author and chef Amanda Frederickson is on tap for West Nashville’s Sylvan Supply development, come next spring. The currently unnamed fast-casual restaurant joins other future tenants fast-casual Italian Penne Pazze, Beared Iris Brewing, and Barista Parlor at the site, and plans to offer healthy options like salads and grain bowls.

Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar Debuts in Murfreesboro

Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar opened in Murfreesboro on Monday, September 9. The Denver-based burger bar brings its menu of gourmet burgers, sides, chopped salads, beer, and milkshakes to a 3,790-square-foot space at 2254 Medical Center Parkway, Suite B. Murfreesboro’s new Bad Daddy’s will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. This will be the second Bad Daddy’s in Tennessee and 36th system-wide, with other locations throughout Colorado, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Oklahoma.
