Five Points unique dining and drinking destination, popular patio hang The Treehouse’s current owners/founders Matt Spicher and Corey Ladd announce the sale of the restaurant on Clearview Avenue in East Nashville.
The new owner, who will take ownership later this year, is a familiar name in the Nashville restaurant scene, and music industry veteran, Kelly Black. Black also owns Cambria Hotel’s new restaurant NashHouse Southern Spoon and Saloon, Cool Springs brunch destination the Honeysuckle and the Row in Nashville, the former Longhorn Steakhouse near Music Row, which has become a popular place for locals and tourists alike for its hosting slews of songwriters throughout Nashville history.
Black says he intends to continue operations as normal, and that chef Jeremy Britt will stay on, adding some slight menu updates and more late night offerings.
The reason for the sale? “The Clearview properties have been in our family for decades and now it is time for my parents to enjoy their golden years,” says Treehouse owner Matt Spicher.
What’s next for the current owners? Co-founder Corey Ladd says “We have many fond memories of living and working at Five Points and look forward to announcing our next adventure.”
Since opening in 2013, The Treehouse earned two Eater Nashville “Chef of the Year” titles. The unique space has been a consistent Five Points neighborhood destination for dining and drinking, and its popular patio recently saw a renovation, earlier this year.
