Washington, DC-based Mediterranean fast-casual spot Cava opens its first Nashville location in The Mall at Green Hills on Thursday, January 9.

Nashville diners continue to ask for more healthy, affordable options, and Cava seeks to fill that gap with its menu of customizable salads, grain bowls, and juices. Feta and spicy lamb meatballs, warm pita with an assortment of dips and spreads, plus seasonal offerings like pearl couscous roasted tomato soup with harissa are also on offer. To drink — house made juices like beet lemonade, blueberry jasmine, plus unsweetened black and jasmine teas.

Designed to meet the needs of the neighborhood, the 2,475-square-foot restaurant will feature 52 seats for dine-in guests, additional outdoor patio seating, as well as a designated pickup zone inside the restaurant for orders placed online and through the Cava app.

A second Nashville outpost is planned for later in the year at the Firth + Broadway development. Co-founded by Ted Xenohristos, Ike Grigoropoulos, and Executive Chef Dimitri Moshovitis, three first-generation Greek Americans and friends since childhood, the trio wanted to bring the flavors from their upbringing to a wider audience in a modern, accessible format.

During opening, Cava is partnering with local nonprofit The Nashville Food Project to support its mission to bring people together to grow, cook and share nourishing food. CAVA will donate a portion of opening day sales, in addition to taking guest donations for The Nashville Food Project.

Located at 2171 Green Hills Village Drive, Cava Green Hills will be open daily, from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.
