A new sports bar is slated to open in Germantown this spring.
Third and Home will open on April 1 across the street from First Horizon Park, home of the Nashville Sounds. The sports bar is a collaboration between Sounds owner Frank Ward and Centerplate, First Horizon Park’s catering partner.
The 7,000-square-foot space spans the top level of 919 Third Ave. N. and has a sprawling 1,500-square-foot patio from which patrons can view Sounds games. Its interior also boasts 28 65-inch televisions and three 260-inch screens, so sports fans can enjoy themselves at the bar, regardless of weather.
The space’s sports-centric design is the brainchild of Ward’s sons, Chris and Tim Ward, and C.B. Ragland Co.’s Michael Hayes and Brandon Kuvara.
Third and Home, which will be open year-round, will serve a range of regional and local brews and popular liquors and wines. It will also offer weekly promotions, to be announced in March, alongside a solidified food and drink menu.

Ward, who announced the opening in a news release last week, said his aim with the project is to create “a unique destination that combines food and drink along with entertainment in the thriving Germantown neighborhood.”
“The completion of Third and Home brings our vision of the ballpark and surrounding areas full circle,” Ward said in the release.
