Restaurateur Sam Fox’s eponymous Fox Restaurant Concepts announced via press release two new restaurants for budding downtown Nashville development Fifth + Broadway — and there will be fancy tacos, cheese crisps, and tequila.
Next in the restaurant lineup for the sprawling mixed-use downtown project? Blanco Cocina + Cantina, Fox’s Phoenix-born modern Mexican restaurant, and the Twelve Thirty Club, which they’re not ready to spill the beans about just yet.
Nashville is the eighth location overall for Blanco and the first in the South. Other locations are in Arizona, California, and Texas, serving a menu of burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, and cheese crisps. Other menu highlights include jalapeno-spiked hamachi and watermelon ceviche with pomegranate seeds, plus creative tacos on hand made tortillas, like the carne asada paired with scallion relish, crushed avocado, and spicy garlic butter.
The bar at Blanco will serve an array of tequila, mezcal, vacation-esque cocktails and refreshing margaritas crafted with house-made sours and fresh-squeezed juice.
The 4,801-square-foot restaurant is expected to bring 70 jobs to the city. Blanco will be hiring for many positions including front and back of house managers, hosts, line cooks, prep cooks, servers, bartenders and dishwashers. Blanco will host job fairs at the restaurant at a future to be announced date.
Restaurateur Sam Fox is passionate about hospitality and inspired by food and design. He first opened Wildflower in Tucson in 1998, and today has introduced dozens of ever-evolving Fox Restaurant Concepts brands.
