One of Nashville’s most iconic dishes — the fried bologna sandwich at Robert’s Western World — gets a tribute in taco form on the menu at East Nashville’s Redheaded Stranger. Chef Bryan Lee Weaver’s new fried bologna taco ($3.95) is filled with local Gifford’s bologna, vinegar and cabbage slaw, plus American cheese on one of their homemade tortillas (which they also now sell to-go in sets of three). After being shutdown since Mid-March, Robert’s Western World reopened over the weekend with limited hours, and continues to stream live music from the Lower Broadway bar on days they’re closed.
Redheaded Stranger recently joined the list of local restaurants that reopened for takeout and delivery. Besides the tribute taco and beloved queso, find the popular B&B whipped feta in taco form plus one of the best new burgers in town — a green chili cheeseburger. Place orders on the RHS website for takeout or visit Uber Eats for delivery. RHS is currently open Thursday through Monday — check Instagram for daily hours.
