Hearts, an all-day Melbourne, Australia-inspired cafe, opened Monday, July 20 at 914 Gallatin Avenue.
The newest Nashville project comes from Melbourne-born managing partner Kate Ross alongside Michael McIlroy and Sam Ross — the award-winning New York bar owners who brought cocktail destination Attaboy to Nashville in 2017, then opened more casual Lakeside Lounge in 2019.
The new East Nashville cafe will have a focus on breakfast, a coffee program, and a full bar. Available for indoor and patio dining, plus online ordering for takeout.
Breakfast and brunch items include smashed avocado toast, banana maple twice-cooked French toast, and ricotta hotcakes. Lighter lunch-y options will include salads, sandwiches, and healthy bowls, plus some takes on classic Aussie dishes. An ‘after hours’ menu shows cheese and charcuterie boards, vegetable boards, and oysters by the half dozen.
Hearts’ liquid offerings include coffee, coffee alternatives, juices, and smoothies, plus beer wine, cocktails, and spritzes. Owners promise a regular happy hour, too.
See the full menu below.
Hearts is now open Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
