Tony and Caroline Galzin’s Nations restaurant Nicky’s Coal Fired hosts a Mijo Gordito pop-up on Tuesday, July 21 — with dine-in service and takeout available.
Menu items for the night include a range of Mexican dishes from carnitas, pork rib, and redfish tacos to shrimp ceviche and pulpo a la diabla (a combination of spicy broth, octopus, and diver sea scallop ceviche). One-night only coal-fired pizzas are also on offer — including a braised beef, salsa verde, and asadero cheese pizza take on birria with dipping consomme.
The pop-up lasts from 4 to 8 p.m. and preorders are accepted online. Nicky’s regular menu will not be available during the pop-up. Nicky’s Coal Fired’s full cocktail menu will be available along with a few unique cocktail creations.
Mijo Gordito has popped up at a few other locations around town over the last year. Follow them on Instagram to keep watch for future pop-ups.
