“Transpotainment” returns and restaurant and bar capacity restrictions loosen starting Tuesday, September 1 — in a new modification of restrictions announced by Mayor John Cooper late last week.
Bars can slightly expand reopening, allowing 25 patrons inside plus an additional 25 patrons outside, with a total of 50 per establishment. Bar counters can reopen with social distancing in place at all counters.
Companies from pedal taverns to rolling party barges can operate at 50-percent capacity, with a maximum of 10 people in a party. Alcohol is permitted for those who are seated, but anyone standing must wear a mask.
Cooper also announced that events like weddings and funerals are allowed to resume with maximum attendance of 125.
