A one-night Bar Sovereign pop-up from longtime Nashville chef Josh Cook will recreate a number of Taco Bell menu items that were recently discontinued. On Monday, September 28, Cook will join chef Julio Hernandez and Maiz de la Vida and his standout tortillas for high quality Doritos Locos tacos, and Mexican pizzas.
The Doritos Locos taco is a Maiz de la Vida shell loaded with Bear Creek Farm beef, shredded cheese, and lettuce, with optional sour cream. El Leon Dorado’s tostada take on the beloved fast food chain’s Mexican pizza also comes with seasoned Bear Creek Farms beef, as does the quesarito. Takes on cheesy fiesta potatoes, chicken quesadillas, and caramel empanadas from Tantito Pastelito round out the evening’s menu.
Chef Josh Cook (formerly of Husk) has been popping up around town for awhile now serving hard-to-find in Nashville items like Oaxacan street food memelas, birria nachos, and more.
Doors open at 5 p.m. for the Taco Bell-inspired pop-up at Bar Sovereign on Monday, September 28. Preorders are accepted starting Thursday, September 24. The pop-up will also host booths from local vendors and artists.
