Nashville-based hot chicken purveyor Party Fowl’s poultry empire is expanding to a popular beach destination in the spring of 2022: Destin, Florida is the next location for Austin Smith’s fast-growing brand.
This marks the first Party Fowl location outside of Tennessee, and the sixth overall — in addition to outposts inside the Nashville International Airport and Nissan Stadium. Party Fowl Destin will reside within multi-use Destin Commons – Destin’s premier mall and lifestyle center – with 5000-square-feet of indoor and outdoor seating.
The full-service restaurant is known for executive chef Bart Pickens’ broad menu featuring salads, sandwiches, tenders, tacos, and unique hot chicken dishes — all available in five heat levels ranging from traditional Southern fried to mild, medium, Nashville hot, to their spiciest signature level – “poultrygeist.” Unique offerings include a hot chicken Cuban sandwich, hot chicken poutine, and brunch-exclusive hot chicken stuffed French toast.
Unlike most Nashville hot chicken icons in Music City, they also offer a full bar doling out boozy slushies, creamy bourbon bushwackers, beer, and Bota Box wine. During weekend brunch they also serve insanely over-the-top Nashville hot bloody mary — complete with two skewered fried Cornish game hens, two whole scotch eggs, eight fried okra, and a whole avocado that’s simply dubbed “brunch for two”.
Party Fowl has previously made lots of moves to get their name known outside of Music City, including a partnership with Lay’s to create a Nashville hot chicken-spiced potato chip, available nationally.
Many landlocked Tennesseans flock to Destin for a beach getaway, so the move makes sense for the Nashville brand, which also recently opened in BNA’s D terminal and in Chattanooga. Look for the opening at 4260 Legendary Drive in the early spring of 2022.
