Michael Hanna is bringing his St. Vito Focacciaria crowd favorite sfincione to the people at Vandyke Bed and Beverage, starting on Wednesday, February 10. Vandyke just said goodbye to already much-missed Setsun, which just closed at the end of January.
Hanna has worked in the restaurant industry for years in Memphis, Nashville, and beyond. There’s been much buzz around town about the chef with a Sicilian heritage’s inspired sfincione, most recently served out the side door of Citizen Kitchen to the masses.
For the month of February, Hanna says they’ll serve a selection of three pizzas whole and by the slice — the classic Vito, potato, and smoked eggplant. Delivery will still be available via Postmates, DoorDash, and Uber Eats within a five-mile radius. Takeout and dine-in are also, of course available.
Hanna says they’ll experiment with service style — hoping for an Urban Cowboy-esque casual style, and cooks will run food instead of servers.
The chef, who is still rolling solo in the kitchen currently, says he’ll add to the menu each week, and be fully fleshed out hopefully by mid-March.
St. Vito will be open at Vandkyke Wednesday through Sunday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
