Emmy Squared is opening its third Nashville location in Germantown on Thursday, May 20 for to-go and delivery only.
The New York-born pizza and burger chain slides into the former home of Silo, which closed after last year’s tornado damage, at 1121 5th Avenue North. This location follows Emmy Squared’s 2018 opening in the Gulch and 2019 opening in Green Hills. Upon opening, Emmy Squared’s Germantown location will offer only takeout and delivery.
The menu is familiar for Emmy Squared fans: a selection of thick and hearty Detroit-style pizzas, including one topped with Nashville hot chicken, plus salads and sandwiches including the award-winning double-stack burger. Once fully open, they’ll serve cocktails, beer, and wine.
Emmy Squared’s newest location features a spacious dining room with vaulted ceilings and oversized light fixtures. Local craftsmen from Eagle Reclaimed Wood to built custom tables from Tennessee lumber. The space also features a full bar with seating for 12 guests. The restaurant also touts a private dining room featuring a large, family-style table with custom details to mirror the ceiling details. The restaurant’s entrance is flanked with patio areas outfitted with high top seating along the rail, as well as cafe tables and lounge-style seating to the right of the entrance.
First opened in 2016 in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, Emmy Squared now includes three New York-area restaurants, along with restaurants in Nashville, Louisville, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C. A location should open this summer in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a result of COVID, Emmy Squared expanded its online presence and availability, offering nationwide shipping through Goldbelly, as well as a series of virtual cooking classes, teaching participants how to make the coveted pizza and burgers while safely at home.
Upon opening, Emmy Squared Germantown will be open for takeout and delivery only. Hours will be Wednesday through Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Dine-in services and expanded hours are forthcoming.
