Urban Cowboy’s extended pop-up Roberta’s makes it official with plans for permanent digs in 12South

Roberta’s, one of America’s most well-known wood-fired pizzerias and a temporary pop-up in East Nashville, is opening up a permanent spot in bustling 12South.

According to the Nashville Scene, co-owner Brandon Hoy said the Urban Cowboy Roberta’s is “likely to remain open” even after the 12South opens up (timeline is TBD, so stay tuned). Elliott Kyle and Urban Cowboy’s Lyon Porter joined forces to secure the space, a former residential building located at 2405 12th Avenue South.

Currently a pop-up option in Nashville that is easily one of the best in town, Brooklyn-based wood-fired pizza purveyor Roberta’s resides at Urban Cowboy Public House bar at least through the end of the year. Roberta’s is known for pasta, salads, and other specials alongside traditional Margherita pies and a crowd favorite called “the bee sting” — a sweet and spicy wonder with soppressata, mozzarella, chili, honey, and basil.
