Where to Eat Excellent Pizza in and Around Nashville

From Neapolitan and New York-style pizza, to Detroit and Sicilian-inspired pies

View as Map

No, Nashville isn’t like New York or Chicago when it comes to pizza — but in recent years the pizza scene in Music City has started to define itself. Luckily, diners now have more enticing options than ever and fewer reasons to complain when they’re craving a great slice. To help narrow it down, here is a handy list of Nashville's go-to, must-try pizza purveyors, ranging from decades-old classic pizzerias to wood-fired and coal-fired pies. And in the spirit of the current climate — many of them are available for takeout or delivery.

Hot tip: Keep an eye out on a couple of local Instagram accounts for some killer pizza pop-ups around town, like Napoletana fast favorite Pizza Lolo and Gaga’s Grandma Pies. As an added bonus, many of these establishments offer options for gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan diners, which means that nobody ever has to be left out of this pizza party.

Health experts consider dining out to be a high-risk activity for the unvaccinated; it may pose a risk for the vaccinated, especially in areas with substantial COVID transmission. See a favorite pizza spot missing? Mention it within the comments below.
