These are your go-tos

Some of us are gifted bakers, while others prefer to simply enjoy them rather than make them. Fortunately there are a number of spots in Nashville where you can buy a variety of baked goods from scones to cakes to tortes and more. New to the list this time around is Five Daughters Bakery, which just opened a new location in East Nashville earlier this month, and Triple Crown Bakery, which recently opened in Franklin.

Note: This is also now a list of places that don't just concentrate on making one specific item, so with that we say farewell to IveyCake and The Loving Pie Company.

Did we miss your favorite? Is there an egregious omission? Take to the comments and make your opinion known!

These 9 spots are tops.

It's been way too long since this guide to that most hallowed Music City tradition, Nashville hot chicken, has been updated. Over the past couple of years we've seen several new hot chicken hot spots emerge, each with their own interesting take on this Nashville classic. So for this addition we welcome Helen's Hot Chicken and Party Fowl.
